Piston Pin-ups is a numbered series of eight T-shirt designs, each centered on a fundamental engine component. Pistons, rods, bearings, pins, and rings are presented not as abstractions, but as functional objects—measured, loaded, and essential.
Each design pairs its mechanical subject with a 1940s-inspired pin-up illustration, referencing a period when engineering precision and visual elegance coexisted naturally. The slogans are not jokes or innuendo, but statements rooted in mechanical reality: tolerance, force, contact, restraint.
Released individually and numbered sequentially, the collection is intended to be experienced as a whole. Together, the designs form a study of how performance is built—quietly, deliberately, and part by part.
